Veterans Assistance Commission of Lake County – The VAC is a county supported organization charged with assisting Lake County Veterans and their families with disability claims, death and survivor benefits, emergency financial assistance, and whatever other needs the veteran or his family encounters. Utility Worker Military Assistance Program (UMAP) – UMAP provides returning veterans, reserve and guard candidates with the training and support needed to successfully transition into job opportunities in the utility industry. For more info please visit https://uwua.net/.

All Woman's Honor Flight – the first of its kind under the auspices of the national Honor Flight Program. To quote WGN: “Of the more than 7,000 senior women veterans here in Illinois, less than three percent have ever been on an honor flight. On Sunday, the state's top veteran organizations announced that for the first time they are adding an all-female flight to honor the women who served our country. It's called: "Operation HerStory." The Veteran Women's Wellness Day – was funded in part by the Allen J Lynch Medal of Honor Veterans Foundation. It is a Women Veteran Stand Down as part of a broader women’s wellness program. Consistent with the foundation's new mission, the Foundation contributed to the Veterans Forward Program (https://www.veteransforward.org/). The Veterans Forward program has been a partner to the Lynch Foundation for the last several years. It is a program within National Able. (https://www.nationalable.org/). Our contribution was given in order to obtain goods and services needed by the women on that particular day of the event.  

Lake County Responds for Veterans – this Organization assists Veterans in need by raising donations of money, building materials, and professional labor of which we coordinate the repairs, building, and donating of homes to Veterans. For more info please visit https://lcresponds.org/.
